Tangy Ginger-Beet Juice!

Hey everyone, today I'm back with a blog post that is sure to give your immune system and taste buds a punch in the taste buds! I'm a huge fan of juicing and try to incorporate it into my diet at least once a week. I've been loving this recipe lately. It can sometimes be hard to find certain ingredients called for in popular health juices, but not this one! Everything in this recipe can be easily found in most super markets. So without further blabbering, here's the recipe!

1. An earthy red beet is the perfect ingredient for juicing. It's vibrant red coloring will naturally give your juice a pleasing deep fuchsia color. Beets are packed with good things such as fiber, manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C to name just a few. Simply chop off the greens and focus on the bulb. You'll only need one. Rinse the beet thoroughly (you can keep on the skin), and cube the beet into manageable pieces for your blender.

2. Pineapple is often a popular ingredient in juicing because it offers a healthy alternative to sugar when it comes to adding sweetness. I suggest buying fresh pineapple and roughly chopping about a cup for this recipe. However, if all you can find is canned then that will do. The water naturally stored in pineapple will also help make the juice less thick and smoothie-like.

3. Ginger is one fiery ingredient! I love adding it to my juices because it adds a kick like no other. Ginger helps aid in digestion and is also great for you immune system. Cut off about a thumb sized piece from the root and peel it. I suggest grating it rather than chucking it straight into the blender. I also recommend adding it little by little as you blitz your juice--you may find a whole thumb sized knob too much!

4. After whizzing up all your ingredients, it comes time to strain. For that you will need a simple kitchen strainer. You should be able to get 1 1/2 cups of juice from this recipe. You can either drink right away, or chill in the fridge.

So there you have it, a simple and delicious natural juice. I hope that you will try it and let me know what you think.
