Faces of Friends: Berry Bold ft. Story

Hello peanuts! Today's blog post is focused on a makeup look and the start of a new series for my blog. The series, Faces of Friends, focuses on creating makeup looks focused around the personalities of the models (in this case, my close friends). For the pilot of this series, my best friend Story was the model. Her look, entitled Berry Bold, shows off her vivacious-yet classic look. She's my feistiest friend, yet she is also demure and ladylike. I very much hope this look captured both.

The focus of the look is clean, subtle skin with simple eyes and a fun lip. This look is simple, yet still caters to a bold and vivid personality. Below are a full list of products used:

For the face:
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20

For the cheeks:
LORAC PRO Powder Cheek Stain in Rosy Glow
Benefit SunBeam Highlighter

For the brows:
LORAC single shadow in Espresso

For the eyes:
LORAC single shadow in Beige
MAC Cream Color Base in Pearl
LORAC single shadow in Lt. Brown
Benefit They're Real Mascara in black
Benefit Badgal Lash Mascara in black

For the lips:
MAC Rebel lipstick
Sephora lip gloss in Red Wand

-Process-
I started by perfecting the skin with a concealer brush and concealer, simply covering redness on the cheeks and around the nose. Next for the brows, taking an MAC 266 brush I lightly defined the shape-taking care to preserve the natural shape. Across the cheek bones I brushed blush on the back of the cheeks and dabbed highlighter across the cheekbones. Simple and easy.
For the eyes I dusted Beige across the whole lid. Next, taking MAC Cream Color Base in Pearl I smudged a bit on the center of the lid to give sheen. There was nothing on the lashline. I then took LORAC's single shadow in Lt. Brown on a MAC 224 brush and swept it through the crease.
Lastly I did one coat of each mascara on the bottom and top lashes.
For the lips I did one light coat of MAC's Rebel and dabbed Sephora's Red Wand lip gloss in the center of the lips.

Thank you to Story for being such a good friend and a stunning model. I really enjoyed doing this look and I hope this helps for anyone looking for a fresh look for the new year. The series will be continued in the following weeks. If you recreate this look make sure to tweet or tag me on Instagram using @SarahEBarah Until tomorrow!
